If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Recovering

For the most part, she is doing well. She has been vomiting from the anesthesia and is a little angry crazy right now, but I understand all that is within the realm of normal. They just gave her another dose of pain meds and I am hoping that lets her fall asleep.

She needs to stop throwing up and become a little more normal for us to be able to go home tomorrow. I am betting she will be a whole new kid when she wakes up in the morning.

Yea! I had all my classes pray yesterday and Darius and I prayed last night during his devotional time. I know Jenny has been praying as well. We will now turn our short-term prayers towards vomiting and long-term prayers towards recovery.

And, of course, we will pray for you Ginny. We all know that its tough for you as well. Keep up the good work, Mom!

In Christ,

Miles

Wow! This is what I get for being away from blogger for a couple of days! Had I checked in here earlier I would've loved to have lifted you up in prayer...but look what He has done! Just looking at her cast you can see her hand is in such a different position. Amazing. Sounds like you're in good hands and God is providing- like He always does! Thanking Him for your great news and praying for continued recovery for Ruthie today. :)

Awwww....sweet baby!! So glad you are updating on your blog. I just thought to check it! Sounds like it was a good day, all in all. And Scottish Rite sounds AMAZING! How comforting to be in such an incredible place. Elizabeth has been faithful to pray for Ruthie every night. We are expecting great things!

Love from all the Stevens

Dear Ginny,

I have had you and Ruthie in my heart and prayers this whole week. I HATE being in hospitals waiting and watching your child in pain - awful!!! Hope she is better today and you are all home soon. Love, Ronda
