Here is the resolution.
Jack has these days at school called D.E.A.R (drop everything and read) days. I think that is a really cute acronym so I decided to change it up a bit and have D.E.A.P hours (sorry a whole day is just not realistic yet). D.E.A.P= Drop Everything And Play! Now the business woman in me can see t-shirts and bumper stickers, but that will have to be someone else's project because it is time to D.E.A.P! :)
We had a D.E.A.P moment a few days ago when I spontaneously blew up the sprinkler and let the kids get after it in their clothes. Of course my rule follower, Jack, managed to sneak inside and change into his swimsuit.
Happy D.E.A.Ping

I think about this all the time as I am playing Mario Cart with our son after Sidney goes to bed and have ten thousand other things to do! Great photos!

I love it! D.E.A.P. So important and it means so much to our kids! The best bonding times for us have been during play times. Thanks for sharing!
I share your "struggle". I am a do-er, not a play-er. (I'm sure my kids will mention that to their therapists some day! Ha ha!) Thanks once again for being transparent, for making a change in your behavior and for challenging me to do the same.
Good for you!! Love the pictures!! So much fun!
