If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Black and White Wednesday

the long road

You might be a photographer if...

#2 You look for ways to including your family in your photo-shoot outings.

Last Saturday I was photographing a senior in Galveston so the family met me there afterwards for dinner and a little wave jumping.

Truthfully we probably have more family outings since I started this photography business because I am always looking for ways to include them when I travel to fun places.

Before you think I am a good mom, you should know that it is my way of alleviating the guilt for leaving  them on a Saturday for business.  :)  It's working because we are having a lot of fun.

Aaah, Galveston! That was our yearly spring break get away when I was younger, and I started out at TAMUG for 1 1/2 years. I tell the kids about Galveston...the warm water (the Pacific is freezing), the mosquitos, how you could go in the ocean first thing in the morning and not be cold...Hopefully we'll be able to make it out there at some point, and who knows, maybe meet up for a photo shoot! Great shots!
