If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Black and White Wednesday

the long road

It has to be hard to be my kid.  I am sure my children feel like they live with the Mama Paparazzi  (hey that would make a good blog name)

Anyway, I am constantly asking them to stop and let me take their picture against some back drop that caught my eye or I am invading their play with my camera as I try and capture their wonderfully unique personalities.

Sam is so good.  He can assume and un-assume the position in seconds.

Jack, on the other hand, struggles with it a little because he is at that awkward smile stage and really doesn't like having his picture taken.

So when we were having dinner in Galveston last weekend, I grabbed Jack for a few shots there on the pier.

And I was so proud of how well he relaxed in front of the camera.

I didn't even have to threaten  bribe him to get this true to life smile.

Well and this one just melts my heart.  That's my boy.
