If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Six Flags

I can't believe that I forgot to post these.   When we went to Dallas last weekend, we spent Saturday at Six Flags with cousins.  Ruthie was big enough to ride a few roller coasters and was fearless.  Jack, on the other hand, chose to sit most of them out.  Love that boy and his cautious ways.

Happy Birthday Sam

We've had a very busy weekend celebrating Sam's 8th birthday.  It was so busy that it will take 3 posts to cover it all.   We headed to Dallas on Thursday to spend Friday at the Perot Museum with my Aunt Penny.

It has only been open for a few months and is quite impressive.  Each floor has it's own theme and is both educational and interactive.

The kids had a blast doing things like programming their own robot and seeing if they could run faster than a dinosaur.  We also watched a great 3D movie on weather in space.

It was a fun filled day.  Thanks Aunt Penny for the memories.

Soccer Time

Well it is soccer season around here and that has us running between games and practices.  Jack has been a good sport tagging along for all of the activities.  Here are a few pics from last Saturday.

This is my sweet friend, Holly, playing with Ruthie while Sam and her son played in their game.  She is also a lover of photography and is uber talented.

A Day Off

I love my days off when I get to keep Ruthie home and play.  I had Tuesday and Thursday off this week and it was wonderful!  On one of those days, we went on a walk and stopped at a patch of flowers in the neighborhood.  Good times.
