If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Double Digits!

My baby boy turns 10 today! We celebrated with a mother/son weekend at Pine Cove Outback.  It was a great time of connecting with the little guy.

The speaker session was on the life of David.  In the second session she talked about the story of David and Goliath and how David was tough but not because he was bigger than his opposition but because he had a tender heart toward God.

That is so my boy.  He is one of the toughest 10 year olds I have ever seen and it has nothing to do with his size and everything to do with his heart.  This poor little guy has had to come up against way too many challenges in the first 10 years of his life, but his heart is what got him through them.

I love you Jack Henderson.  Happy 10th birthday.

I am looking forward to what the next 10 years hold for you.

No me gusta double digits!!! Our babies!

Ginny I have already told you this a million times, but I absolutely LOVE that kid! Too early for an arranged marriage with Soph? :) n

Sweetest sweetest kid...has endured so many challenges and has the sweetest heart ever. I love just watching him...its like he radiates light or something....sweet sweet sweet . I got teary eyed Sunday when Trent mentioned that he was turning 10. I remember the first day of first grade....and second (when I wanted to take him with me as my child was saying goodbye so easily) Not so with Luke so I guess I have been able to experience that too. Anyway, Happy Birthday to the sweetest kid ever !!!! Oh and when you are older...that is what is always said about Sophie too...her spirit...perfect match! Hahaha Love you guys and so blessed to know you.
