If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

6 Months and 1 Year

Today is the 6 month anniversary since Ruthie's adoption ceremony in China and the 1 year anniversary for our referral call!

This is a big week for Ruthie because we are also having her 3rd birthday party on Saturday. Of course, I just looked and saw that the chance of rain went from 40% last night to 80% this morning so I am scrambling to adjust my entertainment plans. Nothing like an adrenaline rush at 7 am.

I made a video to show at Ruthie's party of pictures from her first 3 years. It was too long and too big to post in its entirety so here is 2/3 of it. The last 3rd is all the recent pictures that you have already seen anyway. The first 1/3 is most of her pictures from the orphanage that you have not seen. Enjoy!

P.S.>> I don't have your email address, so I can never reply to your comments/questions. But as for expected travel, we're not sure yet... were currently at day 57 since LID, and waiting for our LOA. We're PRAYING that the Lord works things out so we can travel by spring break. The wait is hard, be we know she's in great hands! OH, and when you left your comment, I had accidentally posted that one prematurely...so stop back in for your chance to win my very first GIVE AWAY!! :)

Thank you, Ginny, for making this wonderful video. What a blessing that Ruthie had someone caring for her, playing with her, dressing her in cute baby clothes, etc. She can know (in the future) that God had a plan for her life joining yours and protected her while that plan was unfolding. Loved the songs you picked to go with the video too. Beautiful presentation!

Great video! Gotta love your mac, huh? :) What a wonderful thing to celebrate--hoping we have a referral day to celebrate soon ourselves! And, btw, LOVE the quote at the top. Very funny!
