If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Black and White Wednesday- Happy 4th

Every 4th of July we try and go to Waco to see some close friends.

It has become a tradition that my kids participate in the Woodway parade and then we watch fireworks on the river that night (another post to come).

Our good friend is in leadership with the city of Woodway so he lets my kids ride in the firetruck at the front of the parade.

Jack and Ruthie threw candy to the onlookers.

And then Sam decided he wanted to walk so he could collect what was unclaimed back for himself.

We started at the front of the parade right behind the firetruck and finished at the end (just in front of the police car that was waiting patiently) because of all of our stops to RE-collect candy.

Fun times and good memories.
