If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Hermann Park and The Chinese Squat

One of my favorite parts of my photography job is that it forces me to explore parts of town I might not otherwise visit and when available, I take the fam with me.  I was few minutes early to my Hermann Park shoot on Friday so I snapped a few of Ruthie while she played.

Before I go too far in these pics I wanted to share something that makes me smile every time I see it- the Chinese Squat.  If you have ever been to China, you have seen it.  Grown men, women, and children squatting wherever they are.   I have heard it said that it is because their toilets are in the ground, but Ruthie doesn't know that.  She just naturally does it.

And here are a few more of my girl from our time together.

Now THAT is interesting! Yes, been to China, yes know the squatty potty but also noticed how everyone does in fact squat! Interesting indeed...

I wonder if I would see it in Chinatown here? Folks also not accustomed to the potties, but have the genes (?) for the squat?

Oh...Ginny she is so beautiful. I saw her walking out of MDO with her Daddy ( and me being a klutz I nearly knocked her down) Gorgeous! Beautiful photography as always. You know, I am almost down to pre Ollie weight..took one month..not the healthy way (stress) but hey....maybe I can now be in a picture or two ha!

Love these...love the squat too :)
