If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Right on Target

Well Ruthie is right where she should be for being a pesky little sister. :)
This morning she was walking up to Sam's Wii Fit board and putting her foot on the corner just to annoy him. He would push her out of the way and then she would turn to me a cry like "did you see that?". It so reminded me of my interaction with my big brother when I was little. I had to email him and apologize for all the times I got him in trouble when it was really my fault.

I love seeing her interact with the boys even when it is like this because it means things are really getting to "normal".

Ruthie has a cardiology appointment in the morning that I expect should be fine. She has no signs of a heart condition, but it can go with her diagnosis so they are just making sure. I was amazed that we were able to get a pediatric cardiology appointment in less than a week when my sweet friend in England (national health care) has been and will be waiting for months for one when her daughter has a suspected heart defect. I will let you process that one how you wish depending on where you fall on that issue. :)

Here are a few pictures from the last few days.

Considering I am EXTREMELY against a socialist government/society...I think you know where I fall on that topic! ;o) I know about the government run healthcare over there...in fact, I remember a post Naomi did quite awhile ago letting us know that Americans really would never do well with a National Health Care plan like is proposed, that we're not patient enough, for one. And that it certainly isn't even close to all it has been cracked up to be. Things that we take for granted as standard procedures and standard check-ups don't happen over there...unless it is needed, and even then there are no guarantees and you have to be on a waiting list. A lot of people die or grow terminally ill during the 'wait' over there. It's really very sad. We have more to be thankful for than we realize. Certainly something has to be done with the overall cost...but NOT this.

I love hearing that Ruthie is acting like a little sister! Sounds like she is settling right in. And as annoyed as her older bro might be...it's not all bad...as it helps build character! LOL !! :o)

God bless!
