If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Practical Lessons- Thy Word

Psalm 119:105  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Last night we had a practical Bible lesson and did a family scavenger hunt to illustrate Psalm 119:105

(Before you give me too much credit, you should know the idea came from Family Life's Just Add Family)

I wrote down a list of scavenger hunt items.

Then they used their flashlights to search for things like candy and smelly socks.

Afterwards, we all sat down and discussed the verse and how the flashlights protected us from harm and helped us find our way.

I have no idea if they got it, but it sure was fun.

I love this idea! Kudos to you guys for setting aside time to direct your children in the Word.
