If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Sunday Snapshot- Well That Was Memorable

Ruthie had her very first soccer game yesterday.

We weren't sure what to expect.  Would she pick flowers or actually play?

She had a little bit of a rough start when she tried to pick up the ball.  Then her shoe came untied and daddy ran onto the field to fix it for her.

When she tried to throw the ball in, it fell behind her.  But after a few tries, she conquered that too.

The girl ran the entire time and played as hard as any other kid out there.

It was all going so well until the very end.  Right after I snapped this picture (and knew she didn't look right), Ruthie vomited and fell at my feet.  The girl played so hard, she had heat exhaustion.  We quickly got her cooled down and she perked back up to her normal self within a few hours.

After it was all said and done though, she said she had a lot of fun and was ready to play again.  I am thinking next time we will have more forced breaks for my little competitor.

I love your action shots! Especially the ones of Ruthie throwing the ball in. Go Ruthie!

Well, I would suffer from heat exhaustion too if they made me wear all that gear in this weather!

She looks super cute in a ponytail.
