If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Adventures in Cookie Baking

A friend of mine posted a cookie recipe on Facebook friday and reading recipes on Facebook is like going to the grocery store hungry.  You should never do it if you are counting calories.  Luckily I am not this week so while Sam was at baseball practice, the other 2 and I embraced the opportunity to bake!

I don't normally have all the ingredients on hand when I get the urge to bake, but these were the easiest cookies ever.

1 cup sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 egg, and Hersheys Kisses.  That's it!

Jack and Ruthie had a blast and I enjoyed capturing them baking together.

And Sam was pretty thankful too when he came home hungry from baseball.
