If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

A Tale of 2 "Clown Suits"

I have a really bad memory (and thus I scrapbook) and my childhood is pretty much a blur.  I do have one memory that stands out though.   When I was about 7,  I saw an outfit at a store called Kids Lib that I wanted and my mother would not get it for me because she said it looked like a clown suit.  It was an aqua blue oversized jumper and pants with different colors on the front and a white shirt underneath.  My dad overheard my begging and went the next day and bought that outfit for me.  I still remember walking around school in that "clown suit" thinking I was the cutest thing in town.

So Monday I took Ruthie to a boutique here in town to pick out an outfit for her birthday from my father.  She went straight to this little number and it made me smile because it looks so much like the one my dad bought me 28 years earlier.   You should have seen Ruthie going to school this morning.  She knew she looked good and so I had to take some pictures.
