If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

Celebration!

How cool are my neighbors for hanging this in my yard. I like it so much that I may leave it up until the home owners association sends me a letter.

Sunday night at 6:00 we are holding a celebration/dedication service for Ruthie at our church. It will be a time for us to worship God for who He is and recount what we have seen Him do through this process. It will also be a time for Trent and I to make vows to Ruthie as we not only legally bring her into our family, but spiritually bring her in as well. You are welcome to attend. There will be a little sip and see reception afterwards.

I'm in tears!! That's not so strange, because my heart is so full of joy, and awesome wonder at what a great God we serve. Now your journey REALLY begins, and you will be lovingly covered by prayer each step of the way. What we can't see, the full view of the tapestry of our lives, woven by the Master's hand, will be so amazing when viewed from the other side of eternity. All the waiting, the questioning, the having to dig deep, the learning to trust Him more and more while He revealed Himself to you, has been so all worth it! For all of us who have shared your sojourn. His joy is complete. He accomplished what He set out to do for you and for Ruthie, when he kept her alive during those first dark months of her life.

My prayer for you is that you will find Him more than enough in the days ahead as you relish His gift, rely on His wisdom, relinquish and abandon yourself to His leading, and walk hand in hand with Him from mountain top to mountain top. You are blessed....
Love and more
