If you have visited here before, you can probably see that I have changed the name of the blog again. I started blogging at 4URuthie to tell the story of our journey to adopt our 1st daughter. I changed it to Mountains for Maggie when we were praying for God to move mountains on behalf of our 2nd daughter. Well now it is no longer just Ruthie’s or Maggie’s stories. It is now our family's story, and the stories of those we share life with, as we Conquer Mountains together. Both ConqueringMountains.net and 4URuthie.blogspot will lead here.

About Me

My photo
I am a pastor's wife, mother of 4 kids (2 adopted and 3 with special needs), physical therapist, and photography junky. This is where it all comes together for me. Feel free to join along as I process life out loud.

It Took Me 2 Weeks but...

I finally got the Gotcha Day video made. Hope you like it. I plan to make a few more videos from our time in China later this week.

"Not flesh of my flesh,
Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously my own.
Never forget for a single minute,
You didn't grow under my heart
but in it."

Soooooo sweet! So amazing! Thanks for sharing the love with us! :) Can't wait to see how she grows and blossoms into your family. It's obvious that she already understands how you love her and her trust in you was evident Sunday evening. Blessings!

Very sweet video! I know many will say that Ruthie is (& will be) so blessed by you being her parents. And while I agree with that, I believe that you and Trent and your family will be even more blessed by Ruthie. She will change your lives, your scope of influence and much, much more. Enjoy the ride! We're so excited for you! -shannon d.

Of course I cried, so many memories of the first days with our own adopted girls. Enjoy each moment...
